The Orion spacecraft during the Artemis II mission captured stunning images of Earth, including a photograph titled "Hello, World," taken by astronaut Reid Wiseman. This image shows a complete Earth hemisphere and was taken during the spacecraft's outbound journey toward the Moon. The mission marked the first time humans have traveled beyond Earth's orbit since 1972, and the images were published on April 3, 2026. The Artemis II crew splashed down safely in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego after a nearly 10-day journey around the Moon.
